Fundamental Hygienic Thermometers
Hygienic thermometers are temperature instruments designed to meet strict cleanliness and regulatory expectations in food, beverage, and pharmaceutical environments while delivering high measurement performance. They combine hygienic mechanical design with appropriate process connections, sensor constructions, and documentation readiness.
Portfolios typically include both compact and modular designs, allowing standardization across a facility while adapting to specific installation constraints. A wide range of hygienic process connections—such as clamp systems, metallic sealing designs, weld-in adapters, and other industry-standard interfaces—supports alignment with established piping and skids.
Measurement performance is supported by a range of RTD sensor designs, from baseline configurations to high-performance variants. Designs without a thermowell place the sensor in direct contact with the medium to achieve fast response and high accuracy, while thermowell-based designs prioritize safe replacement and recalibration without disturbing the process boundary.
Optional transmitters and local displays enable the measuring point to be tailored to the automation architecture, whether the goal is simple analog integration, digital communications, or local visibility. International certificates and approvals support deployment into globally standardized hygienic production frameworks.
Typical applications include CIP/SIP-controlled systems, hygienic utilities, fermentation and bioprocess skids, and any sanitary piping where temperature drives quality, safety, or compliance outcomes. Selection is usually guided by hygienic connection standards, required response time, recalibration strategy (thermowell vs. direct contact), transmitter needs, and any site-specific certification requirements.
