Endress+Hauser’s process photometers deliver inline optical analytics, UV, NIR and VIS absorbance, plus scattered‑light turbidity directly in the pipe or skid. They measure color, concentration, and suspended solids in real time, reducing grab samples and contamination risk. With Liquiline CM44P, photometers can share a platform with Memosens pH, conductivity, or oxygen.

Principle: absorbance follows Beer–Lambert, transmitted intensity through a defined path converts to AU/OD. Turbidity uses a small forward‑scatter angle (~11°) to see fine particles and filter breaks. Optical methods are reagent‑free with low cross‑sensitivities and NIST‑traceable filter calibration. Hygienic designs handle CIP/SIP and elevated temperature/pressure.

Portfolio highlights: OUSAF11 (glass‑free NIR/VIS) for robust phase detection and suspended solids; OUSAF12 for suspended solids/phase in Ex and hygienic service; OUSAF22 dual‑beam color for precise color/purity trending; OUSAF46 UV (two wavelengths) for proteins, chromatography endpoints, and permeate monitoring.

Where very low turbidity matters, OUSTF10 uses forward‑scattered light to track suspended solids, emulsions, and immiscible phases, enabling early filter‑break and leak detection, product purity checks, and closed‑loop filter control. It suits CIP/SIP and hazardous areas for utilities and food & beverage duty.

Engineering is straightforward with hygienic assemblies: OUA260 ultra‑hygienic flow cell with low volume for fast response; CUA261 VARIVENT® adapter for sterile pipelines; and CPA875 retractable assemblies for sterile insertion/removal. One CM44P can host a photometer plus pH, ORP, conductivity, or oxygen for correlated quality dashboards.
