Multipoint thermometers are engineered assemblies that incorporate multiple RTD and/or thermocouple sensing points within a single mechanical structure to capture a temperature profile rather than a single spot value. They are commonly applied where stratification, gradients, or reaction dynamics require spatial temperature insight for safe and efficient operation.

These assemblies are often configured to customer specification so the sensor count, spacing, insertion geometry, and mechanical design match the vessel or reactor. The resulting profile supports tighter process control, improved availability, and enhanced safety by revealing conditions that would be invisible to a single-point measurement.

Multipoint solutions can be implemented in several structural concepts, including flexible multi-sensor arrangements, linear arrays with a primary thermowell, bundled arrays in conduits, and minimally invasive designs. Options for thermowell inclusion, diagnostic chambers, and transmitter integration support different maintenance philosophies and instrumentation standards.
